Special Education Teacher - Manteno, IL

Make a difference every day by supporting elementary students with diverse learning needs as a full-time Special Education Teacher. This rewarding contract position begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with young learners, helping them unlock their potential in a collaborative and supportive school environment.

Key Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Active Professional Educator’s License with LBS 1 endorsement (Illinois)
• Previous experience in special education classrooms a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to different student needs and learning styles

Core Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
• Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Use diverse instructional strategies to engage and instruct students with a range of abilities
• Track and document student progress, providing regular updates to families and educational teams
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom culture
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and required professional development sessions
