Key Qualifications:

  • Current Minnesota teaching certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required); must present documentation with application.
  • Experience or specialized training in Emotional or Behavioral Disorder (EBD) preferred.
  • Background in special education at the elementary level, particularly Grades K-5.
  • Demonstrated ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt instruction to meet unique student needs.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with a commitment to positive behavioral supports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver small-group and individualized instruction to students with emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs aligned with district and state guidelines.
  • Employ evidence-based strategies and data-driven interventions to optimize student growth.
  • Partner with families, general education staff, and related service providers in a collaborative team environment.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
