Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4) is required; please attach certification and updated resume with your application.
  • Experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally working with elementary-aged students in a resource role.
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve onsite at a supportive elementary school, working closely with students requiring specialized instruction.
  • Develop and deliver individualized education plans tailored to each student’s strengths and challenges.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and related service providers to ensure integrated support.
  • Provide resource support, monitor student progress, and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings.
  • Foster an encouraging, respectful environment that promotes each student’s academic and social success.

This position offers consistent weekday hours—Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week—allowing you to truly engage with students and the school community over the academic year.
