Make an immediate impact supporting elementary students with developmental and cognitive delays for the upcoming school year. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity offers the chance to play an essential role within a welcoming educational environment focused on collaboration and student growth.

In this role, you’ll work closely with a dedicated team in a center-based setting, designing and implementing individualized learning strategies. Your guidance will help students navigate academic and social challenges while fostering their independence and self-confidence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Teaching License with Tier 3 or Tier 4 certification in Special Education (required).
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students who have developmental and cognitive delays (DCD).
  • Strong classroom management abilities and expertise in differentiated instruction.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and related service providers.
  • Skilled in developing, implementing, and documenting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction aligned with state standards and IEP goals for elementary DCD students.
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each learner.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and document student progress to ensure ongoing growth and success.
  • Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate supports.
  • Uphold best practices in classroom management, emotional regulation, and behavioral interventions.
