Special Education Teacher - Maple Grove, Minnesota

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher working onsite with elementary students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD). This role is scheduled to begin in late August and extend through early June, with weekdays running from approximately 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, totaling 37.5 working hours each week (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day).

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
• Previous experience teaching students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities, or direct special education experience
• Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs), adaptive instructional strategies, and compliance with state and federal special education laws
• Strong communication skills to effectively partner with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Organizational skills for recordkeeping, progress monitoring, and individualized instruction planning
