Take on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher focusing on Emotional Behavior Disorders in an innovative elementary environment. This position spans the academic year with a start date in early September 2026 and runs through June 2027. As a vital member of a specialized team, you’ll work onsite at a forward-thinking K-5 school with a strong emphasis on mathematics, science, engineering, and collaborative learning projects.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Tier 3 or 4 Minnesota Teaching Certification (must be attached with your application)
- Background and expertise in Special Education, specifically with Emotional Behavior Disorders
- Demonstrated skill working with elementary-aged students in a center-based program
- Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with colleagues and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment rooted in best practices for students with unique needs
- Current, up-to-date resume required for presentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students in a center-based program with Emotional Behavior Disorders
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet both district and legal requirements
- Collaborate with staff and families to support student progress and well-being
- Utilize project-based educational frameworks, integrating mathematics, science, and engineering concepts when appropriate
- Adapt classroom activities and materials to promote engagement and success for all learners
- Maintain timely documentation and comply with regulatory requirements
