Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students in special education. This full-time position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in an engaging school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. The assignment runs from August 25, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with a Monday-Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours per week. The focus is on providing dedicated services for an ABS (Academic Behavioral Support) caseload.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required; applications without this will not be considered)
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting is preferred
  • Strong understanding of ABS programming and effective behavioral intervention strategies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver special education services to elementary students with ABS needs within an inclusive environment
  • Design and adapt instructional materials to meet diverse learning requirements
  • Collaborate closely with fellow educators, paraprofessionals, and related services staff
  • Monitor student progress through regular assessments and data tracking
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation according to district and state guidelines
  • Communicate proactively with families and participate in IEP meetings
