Expand your expertise and make a lasting impact by supporting elementary students as a part-time Special Education Teacher in a contract role near Maple Grove, MN. This opportunity involves working approximately 18 hours per week (0.5 FTE), Monday through Friday, with a focus on students in the ABS caseload at the elementary level.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license—only Tier 3 or Tier 4 will be considered
  • Experience working within an elementary ABS caseload or a similar setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and compliance with district/state guidelines
  • Effective communication skills in collaborating with families, staff, and administration
  • Ability to provide a resume and required licensure at the time of application

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective, data-driven IEPs for assigned students
  • Deliver individualized instruction and interventions that accommodate learners’ unique needs
  • Track and document educational progress and communicate updates to parents and staff
  • Foster a caring, inclusive classroom environment to help each child achieve his or her potential
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support personnel to promote student success
  • Participate in professional development and district meetings as required

This contract position begins August 25, 2026, and will run through June 10, 2027, located within the supportive environment of an elementary school setting.
