Make a difference as a Special Education Teacher, supporting students at a specialized learning center dedicated to those with the highest needs. This full-time contract opportunity allows you to work in a dynamic, supportive environment helping students from elementary through high school reach their full potential. The assignment spans from late August 2026 through early June 2027, with consistent weekday hours.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license, Tier 3 or Tier 4 required
- Experience working with Setting 4 caseloads, serving students with significant behavioral and developmental challenges strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies and create a safe, encouraging classroom climate
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to inclusion, equity, and student-centered learning
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and intervention to students based on IEP goals
- Develop and implement behavior management plans for students in Setting 4
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to create comprehensive support strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including documentation related to student progress and IEP compliance
- Demonstrate flexibility and empathy in meeting the varied and intensive needs of students
- Uphold district policies and contribute to a positive team culture
