Special Education Teacher - Maple Grove, Minnesota

This opportunity calls for experienced Special Education Teachers to provide essential services to elementary through high school students in a specialized setting. The assignment is full-time and runs from September 25, 2026, through June 10, 2027.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with severe disabilities and challenging behaviors, maintaining the highest standards of care and professionalism.
• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) according to district and state guidelines, ensuring that each student receives appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, related services staff, and families to support each student’s educational and behavioral goals in a Setting 4 environment.
• Effectively address emergencies, behavior escalations, and daily challenges using evidence-based strategies and a positive approach.
• Maintain thorough documentation, progress monitoring, and communication as required by the district.

Qualifications:

• Current Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required—candidates must present valid licensure and resume for consideration).
• Demonstrated expertise working with students who have intensive behavioral and educational needs, preferably in a setting comparable to Setting 4.
• Extensive experience implementing behavior management strategies in elementary, middle, or high school populations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working within a multidisciplinary team and engaging families.
