Special Education Teacher - Marana, AZ

What you’ll bring to the role: • Active fingerprint clearance card (required) • Valid Arizona Department of Education Standard K-12 Certification (required) • Previous experience working in special education, preferably in school settings • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with colleagues, students, and families • Flexibility to adapt lessons and strategies to meet diverse learning needs • Commitment to creating an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment

What you’ll do: • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students at the elementary and middle school levels • Foster academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth, tailoring instruction to student strengths and needs • Work closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff to ensure seamless delivery of services • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians, providing updates and resources as needed • Track progress, document outcomes, and participate in IEP meetings • Promote a culture of respect, encouragement, and high expectations for all learners
