Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (appropriate for TX elementary grades 2-5)
• Previous experience as a Special Education case manager required
• Comfortable working with elementary students in Life-Skills classrooms
• Frontline experience for IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• SAMA (restraint certification) or willingness to become certified
• Strong organizational skills and ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals

Responsibilities:

• Lead Life-Skills instruction for 2nd–5th graders
• Serve as primary case manager for students, coordinating IEP development and meetings
• Collaborate with staff and paraprofessionals for daily support, including dismissal duties
• Ensure adherence to best practices in special education and student safety
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and productive learning environment
