Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Licensure as a Special Education Teacher (relevant to the elementary level).
• Understanding of elementary curriculum and resource room best practices.
• Experience serving students with mild disabilities is highly preferred.
• Ability to effectively modify and accommodate lessons in coordination with general education teachers.
• Skilled in developing and maintaining accurate, compliant IEPs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide resource support and instruction for elementary students with mild disabilities.
• Design individualized lessons and activities in both self-contained and integrated classroom blocks.
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers to ensure seamless support and accommodations.
• Develop, write, and update IEPs tailored to students’ unique needs.
• Track and report progress toward IEP goals, maintaining clear documentation.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Engage in ongoing communication with families, service staff, and administration.
