Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 Hours per Week

Soliant Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher for an Elementary Structured Support Classroom. This position features a small caseload and strong classroom support, allowing teachers to focus on individualized instruction and meaningful student growth.

Position Details

• Full-time contract position
• Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
• Elementary Structured Support classroom
• Caseload of 6 students
• Students have mild support needs and do not exhibit significant behavioral challenges
• Toileting assistance required
• No feeding responsibilities

Classroom Support

The classroom is supported by:

• 1 Teaching Assistant
• 1 Behavior Technician

This support structure allows for collaborative instruction and individualized student attention throughout the school day.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with students' academic and functional goals
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, behavior support staff, related service providers, and families
• Maintain a structured, positive, and engaging classroom environment
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Ensure compliance with all state, district, and federal special education requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field
• Active Special Education teaching certification or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to support students with academic, social, and functional needs
