Key Qualifications:

• Certified Special Education Teacher, eligible to work in North Carolina
• Experience with elementary and/or middle school-aged students
• Compassionate approach to students’ diverse needs, including toileting assistance and support for students with feeding tubes
• Ability to collaborate with teaching assistants and behavior technicians

Responsibilities:

• Lead an elementary classroom (structured support) for six students with mild needs, supported by one teaching assistant and one behavior technician
• Serve in a co-teaching middle school classroom with a caseload of eleven students, some requiring toileting or feeding tube support
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment
• Adapt lessons to meet varied learning needs and support student independence
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary support team
