Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher license, or eligibility via emergency/pending certification (Teachers of America and ITeach program participants encouraged)
• Experience working with elementary or PreK-age students preferred
• Knowledge of autism strategies and evidence-based interventions a plus
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility in adapting to different educational needs and collaborating with the team
• Open to both experienced educators and enthusiastic new professionals entering the field

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students in self-contained elementary autism (K-2nd) and PreK special education classrooms
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
• Foster an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere
• Track and document student progress and behavior
• Uphold best practices in classroom management, accommodations, and modifications
