Special Education Teacher - Marlborough, MA

Qualifications/Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility for certification)
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly grades K-5
• Knowledge of inclusion practices and ability to modify curriculum and instruction
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organization skills
• Familiarity with IEPs, progress monitoring, and documentation
• Commitment to cultivating a supportive classroom for students with diverse needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction within inclusion classrooms to meet IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate individual needs
• Participate in IEP meetings, write progress reports, and maintain accurate records
• Foster a respectful, engaging classroom centered on positive behavior supports
• Support and advocate for students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
