Special Education Teacher | Marlborough, Massachusetts

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification for Massachusetts
• Previous experience with elementary-aged students (grades K-5) preferred
• Understanding of inclusive classroom models and individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Strong skills in adapting lessons and materials to meet diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills
• Ability to work effectively with families, students, teachers, and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality specialized instruction to students with varying abilities within general education classrooms
• Co-teach and collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement inclusive lesson plans
• Modify curriculum and teaching strategies as necessary to accommodate individual education plans
• Track student progress, complete assessments, and maintain IEP documentation
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom culture that encourages student engagement and growth
• Communicate regularly with parents and other team members regarding student progress and needs
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives as required
