Special Education Teacher in Marshall, MI

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, valid Michigan Special Education teaching license (verification required — please provide a screenshot).
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in high school or ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) settings.
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and instructional strategies tailored for students with diverse learning needs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective, evidence-based instruction to high school students with ASD.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Modify curriculum and adapt teaching techniques to meet unique student needs.
• Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and administration.
