Special Education Teacher - Marshall, MI

Make a significant impact supporting students as a Special Education Resource Teacher with a contract opportunity in Michigan. The assignment spans both East Leroy Elementary and Athens High School, with a caseload of approximately 10 elementary students or 11 middle school students. Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active Michigan Special Education teaching license (MI SPED) is required; please provide documentation with your application.
• Experience or strong interest in working with elementary or middle school students in a special education resource setting.
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and develop individualized learning plans.
• Excellent communication abilities with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instructional support to students in a resource room setting.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff.
• Regularly track student progress and adjust strategies to ensure achievement of educational goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing staff development.
