The assignment spans both East Leroy Elementary and Athens High School, with a caseload of approximately 10 elementary students or 11 middle school students. Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Michigan Special Education teaching license (MI SPED) is required; please provide documentation with your application.
- Experience or strong interest in working with elementary or middle school students in a special education resource setting.
- Strong classroom management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and develop individualized learning plans.
- Excellent communication abilities with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instructional support to students in a resource room setting.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff.
- Regularly track student progress and adjust strategies to ensure achievement of educational goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing staff development.
