Special Education Teacher | Martinsville, Virginia

Two full-time positions are available for compassionate, dedicated educators who are ready to positively impact students ranging from Kindergarten through 7th grade. You'll provide vital instruction tailored to individual needs and engage with a supportive educational team.

Position Details:

• Position 1: Work with K-7th grade students, managing a caseload of 17.
• Position 2: Teach 4th-7th grade students, serving a group of 16.
• Full-time hours with a consistent, contract-based schedule.
• Onsite presence required for direct engagement with students and staff.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students.
• Proficiency in adapting instruction for diverse learning needs.
• Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute individualized educational plans (IEPs) for students with a range of abilities.
• Deliver differentiated instruction in both small groups and one-on-one settings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and parents to maximize student success.
• Track and report on student progress, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and ongoing professional growth opportunities.
