Special Education Teacher in Matthews, NC

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Previous experience working with elementary students (grades K-5) preferred
• Strong knowledge of best practices in differentiated instruction and IEP implementation
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• A collaborative attitude and commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver specialized instruction to meet diverse learning needs in a resource classroom
• Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
• Track and assess student progress, documenting and adapting goals as needed
• Create an encouraging, respectful, and safe learning environment
