This full-time contract position allows you to work closely with 16 students, delivering both Math and Reading support through an inclusion and resource model. Enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM and become a valued partner in fostering student growth.
What you’ll bring:
- Current certification for Special Education teaching or eligibility to obtain it
- Experience or coursework in supporting middle school students, especially in Math and Reading skills
- Strong knowledge of best practices for mild/moderate disabilities and differentiated instruction
- Capacity to manage multiple IEPs and communicate progress effectively with students, families, and staff
- Willingness to collaborate within an inclusive team environment
- Organizational skills to support a caseload of 16 students effectively
Key responsibilities:
- Provide Math and Reading intervention through inclusion and resource support
- Develop and modify lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
- Implement IEP goals and ensure compliance with all educational requirements
- Track and document student progress, collaborating with other professionals and parents
- Foster a supportive classroom climate that encourages growth and participation
- Attend meetings, professional development sessions, and contribute to a positive school culture
