Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education and Social Studies (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience in classroom instruction, preferably with both general education and special education populations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families
• Ability to assess student needs, maintain rigorous standards, and adapt lesson plans as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to both special education and general education students in Social Studies
• Adapt instructional techniques and materials to meet Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
• Monitor student progress, conduct assessments, and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate closely with support staff, specialists, and general education teachers
• Communicate regularly with families about student achievements and challenges
