Special Education Teacher in Mchenry, IL

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction in science, math, social studies, and reading to students requiring extra academic support
• Provide classroom and one-on-one assistance tailored to individual student needs
• Support students with social-emotional disabilities by fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Maintain a strong staff-to-student ratio, ensuring personalized attention with no more than 10 students per classroom
• Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement effective strategies to promote student growth

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in multiple grade levels including elementary and high school
• Ability to create engaging lessons that address diverse learning styles and academic levels
• Skill in managing classroom environments and providing 1:1 support effectively
