You’ll play a pivotal role delivering specialized instruction and individualized support to students, ensuring each child’s unique needs are met with care and expertise.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Special Education certification in Texas
- Endorsement in one of the following: Self Contained, Core Subjects, or Generalist (aligned with assigned grades)
- Proven experience working with special education populations, ideally in life skills or FASE classroom settings
- Strong communication skills, compassionate demeanor, and a collaborative mindset
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students within the life skills program
- Adapt and deliver curriculum to meet a range of abilities while promoting student independence and growth
- Work closely with classroom aides, therapists, and general education staff to facilitate inclusive learning opportunities
- Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with families and administration
- Participate actively in team meetings and ongoing professional development
