Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current 461 TN Special Education license required
• Experience working with K-2nd grade students, especially within a self-contained classroom preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction for diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom community

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivering personalized instruction and support to early elementary students with varying abilities
• Creating, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborating with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Maintaining accurate student records and progress documentation
• Engaging in family communication to support student growth
• Managing the classroom environment with empathy, patience, and consistency
• Participating in professional development and school meetings as required
