Special Education Teacher - Mechanicsburg, PA

A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher skilled in providing support to students in grades K-12. This position serves an autistic support caseload, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, starting as soon as possible and running through June 10, 2027.

Your role will focus on meaningful educational impact, working in collaboration with students, families, and staff to ensure each learner’s development and success.

Qualifications:

• Valid Instructional I or II Pennsylvania Special Education Teacher Certification (candidates working toward this certification may be considered; emergency licenses are not accepted)
• Experience supporting K-12 students with autism or similar needs preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP process, case management, and direct instruction strategies
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide direct instruction tailored to student needs and learning goals
• Manage a caseload of students requiring autistic support, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to promote student achievement
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for student progress and legal compliance
• Participate in team meetings, staff development, and ongoing professional learning

Offered compensation reflects the value of your expertise, with an hourly rate between $35 and $55, based on experience and qualifications.
