Grades 9 - 12 Grades K - 5 Special Education Teacher - Mechanicsburg, PA

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Special Education Teacher Certification, or near completion (emergency licenses not accepted)
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest working with K-12 students in a public or charter school setting
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Strong communication and collaborative teamwork skills
• Adaptability to address a range of instructional needs and diverse learning profiles

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, write, and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring adherence to state and federal guidelines
• Offer direct instruction and differentiated lessons tailored to individual student goals and abilities
• Maintain effective case management for each student, including progress monitoring and ongoing documentation
• Communicate with parents, guardians, and external stakeholders to provide comprehensive student support
• Foster a safe, positive classroom climate that promotes inclusion, independence, and mutual respect
• Implement evidence-based interventions and data-driven instruction

This contract role begins as soon as possible and continues through June 10, 2027. You’ll help shape the lives of students in both Autism Support and Learning Support classroom settings, working within a structures schedule to create lasting impact.
