Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification (or eligibility)
• Experience working with students in self-contained special education settings
• Skilled in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management abilities
• Commitment to supporting students with varying exceptionalities
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized lesson plans meeting each student’s IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs
• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly
• Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom environment
• Work closely with specialists, support staff, and families to maximize student success
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and legal standards
