Special Education Teacher in Media, PA

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by providing critical support as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time, onsite contract opportunity working 35 hours per week from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027. Multiple roles are available: four positions in elementary settings and one in a middle school environment. What we’re looking for:

• Demonstrated expertise in special education, with mastery of instructional skills and relevant subject matter
• Experience working in schools—urban settings particularly valued
• Strong classroom presence and behavioral management abilities
• Ability to develop and execute lesson plans in line with state and district standards, using formative assessment and differentiation
• Comfortable integrating district procedures, materials, and expectations
• Holds active state certification or licensure appropriate for the assigned caseload (or qualifies for an emergency teaching permit with a bachelor’s degree)
• Successful completion of all required Pennsylvania clearances
• Reliable transportation and readiness to commute to the school site
• Available to work onsite between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM; schedule is fixed, with no accommodations
• Confident with Zoom for interviews
