Special Education Teacher in Media, PA

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher at an elementary school in the Chester, PA area. This is a full-time, onsite position with one opening, offering you the chance to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic school environment. The assignment runs from now through June 10, 2027, with consistent hours Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 4PM (35 hours per week).

You’ll have the opportunity to create engaging lesson plans aligned with state and district standards, using formative assessments and differentiation to drive instruction and foster student success. Your expertise and leadership in the classroom will be essential for guiding students with special needs and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Active certification or licensure to support special education caseloads
• Bachelor’s degree (required for eligibility with an emergency teaching permit)
• Demonstrated school-based experience, particularly in urban settings
• Strong classroom and behavior management skills
• Proficiency in developing instructional materials and mastering subject matter
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to work onsite daily within the 8:30AM–4PM schedule (no accommodations for alternative hours)
• Comfort working within district policies and at the location
• Completion of all required Pennsylvania clearances
