In this contract role, you'll play a vital part in both individualized instruction and the creation of comprehensive educational plans, helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.

What you’ll do:

• Provide targeted reading instruction in a small group or individual setting
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning needs
• Write and update IEPs for a caseload of 12 students, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices
• Collaborate with general and special education staff to support student achievement
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
• Participate in IEP meetings and student review sessions as required

What we’re looking for:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience crafting and executing IEPs for elementary and/or middle grade students
• Background in providing reading intervention or specialized literacy instruction
• Strong knowledge of disability categories, differentiated instruction, and related services
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for supporting unique learners
