Middle School Licensed Special Education Teacher | Medina, Ohio

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher, supporting elementary and middle school students in inclusive classroom settings on a full-time contract through May 28th, 2026. This position, located in a welcoming community near Medina, OH, offers the opportunity to work closely with students and collaborate with an experienced team of educators.

You'll play a vital role in guiding K-4th grade elementary students (about 10 in total) and sharing the responsibility of supporting approximately 29 seventh and eighth graders in a middle school setting. Both caseloads involve inclusion classrooms and include some small-group pull-out instruction, ensuring you'll be part of a dynamic learning experience for both students and staff.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid state teaching license with a Special Education certification
• Experience teaching students at the elementary (K-4) and/or middle school (7th-8th) level
• Strong understanding of inclusive education practices and differentiated instruction
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and staff
• Organized, adaptable, and committed to supporting diverse learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction within inclusive settings, adapting lessons as needed
• Monitor student progress, complete assessments, and update IEPs as required
• Collaborate with colleagues and families to ensure student success
• Provide support in both push-in and pull-out instructional models
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to foster student academic and social growth
