Elementary Certified Special Education Teacher in Medina, OH

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current special education certification and state licensure for K-8
• Proven success working with elementary (K-4) and/or middle school (7th-8th) students
• Experience in inclusive classroom models and small group interventions
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to fostering a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage an elementary caseload (approximately 10 K-4 students) in an inclusion setting
• Supervise middle school caseloads (approximately 29 students in grades 7-8, caseload shared with another teacher) in inclusion and small group pull-out settings
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Provide differentiated instruction to support diverse learning styles and needs
• Monitor and document student progress, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations
• Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding student goals and progress
