Special Education Teacher in Mellen, WI

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Proven experience teaching elementary-aged students, preferably in special education settings
• Strong understanding of IEP process and individualized instruction
• Demonstrated ability to adapt classroom strategies for unique learning needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of young learners

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adapt and modify curriculum to meet students’ diverse needs and abilities
• Provide direct instruction and support to K-5 students, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment
• Maintain accurate records, document progress, and communicate effectively with families and the educational team
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and interventions to engage and challenge students
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and collaborative planning with colleagues
