We're seeking passionate Special Education Teachers to empower learners through self-contained and inclusive programs. These contract positions are designed for educators inspired to foster growth and achievement among students with diverse needs.

Available positions include:

  • 2 openings for Elementary RISE (Autism Self-Contained) programs
  • 1 opening for Middle School RISE (Autism Self-Contained) program
  • 1 opportunity in Elementary AIM (low incidence life skills)
  • 2 positions supporting SEL (social emotional learning) for elementary and middle school students with emotional and behavioral needs

Desired Background and Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification as required in Illinois
  • Experience working with students in autism and/or low-incidence programs is highly valued
  • Familiarity with behavior intervention and individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with families, staff, and students
  • Adaptability to deliver differentiated instruction and support varied learning profiles
  • Dedication to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging, individualized instructional plans based on student IEPs
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet each student’s unique needs
  • Foster classroom environments that support skill development, social-emotional growth, and independence
  • Collaborate regularly with multidisciplinary teams including related service providers and general education staff
  • Engage in ongoing communication with families to deliver updates on progress and support strategies
  • Utilize data to monitor, assess, and guide instructional practice for student success
