Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Valid Special Education teaching certification for Tennessee (or eligibility)
• Experience working with students with disabilities, including IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
• Positive, flexible attitude and commitment to professional growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to meet students’ unique needs
• Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement
• Assess and track student progress, communicating updates to parents and staff
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
