Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching credential, with authorization to serve mild to moderate caseloads
- Experience working with elementary-age students in a special education setting
- Strong skills in adapting and modifying curricula to suit individual learning styles and needs
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, parents, and related service providers

- Up-to-date on best practices and committed to ongoing professional development
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and academic support to a caseload of mild to moderate elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), monitor progress, and maintain compliance with legal and educational standards
- Collaborate with general education teachers to deliver services within inclusive and resource settings
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to foster student independence, self-advocacy, and social-emotional skills
- Communicate regularly with families, fostering a supportive partnership in student education
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and multidisciplinary team discussions
