Licensed Elementary Special Education Teacher | Mentor, Ohio

This dynamic position is designed for a dedicated Special Education Teacher who will positively impact elementary and middle school students. Key Qualifications:

• Active licensure and certification as a Special Education Teacher.
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in elementary (K-4th grade) and/or middle school (7th–8th grade) settings.
• In-depth understanding of inclusion models, with readiness to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs.
• Comfortable managing varying caseloads including individualized and group support.
• Excellent communication skills for partnering with general educators, support staff, and families.
• Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with IEPs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction for a caseload of approximately 10 elementary students (K-4th) in an inclusion classroom.
• Collaborate on a shared caseload of about 29 seventh and eighth-grade students, providing support in both inclusive settings and small-group pull-out sessions as needed.
• Differentiate instruction and accommodations to ensure accessibility and progress toward IEP goals.
• Foster a positive, engaging classroom climate that encourages participation and independence.
• Communicate consistently with team members and families to support student goal achievement.
• Maintain records in alignment with district and state regulations.
