Elementary Licensed Special Education Teacher in Mentor, OH

In this role, you'll serve diverse caseloads—ranging from elementary (K-4th grade) to middle school (7th and 8th grade)—enabling you to engage with a variety of student needs. Collaborate closely with general education teachers and other professionals to deliver instruction in inclusive settings, with opportunities for small group pull-out teaching as well.

Desired qualifications:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification
• Licensure to teach Special Education in the state
• Experience or background working with elementary AND/OR middle school students
• Familiarity with inclusion settings and collaborative teaching
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
• Passion for providing individualized support and fostering student growth

Key responsibilities:

• Manage an elementary caseload of approximately 10 students, supporting K-4th grade learners within inclusion environments
• Share a middle school caseload of about 29 students in an inclusion setting for 7th and 8th graders; small group pull-out support included
• Adapt curriculum and interventions to meet students’ IEP goals and diverse needs
• Conduct progress monitoring, develop service plans, and maintain documentation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
• Foster a positive, engaging, and accessible classroom culture
