An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced Special Education Teacher eager to make an immediate impact in a supportive educational environment. This contract assignment begins right away and runs through the end of December, offering the chance to guide and instruct a close-knit classroom.
You will be working in a self-contained setting with a small group of five students in grades 4 through 6. This allows for individualized teaching and the ability to truly connect with each learner. The schedule is approximately 8:25 AM to 3:25 PM, totaling 7 hours per day, designed to foster consistency for both you and your students.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
- Comfort leading self-contained classrooms and adapting lessons for diverse learning needs
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities
- Ability to create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to meet each student's unique learning goals
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with colleagues and families
