In this role, you’ll work closely with both elementary and middle school students, delivering tailored instruction and interventions to foster growth and success in a supportive educational environment. You’ll collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related service providers, playing an integral role in a multidisciplinary team dedicated to student achievement.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Current CT Special Education teaching license/certification
- Prior experience supporting elementary and/or middle school students is preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management abilities
- Skill in developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and differentiated instruction across diverse learning needs
- Split your time between elementary and middle school caseloads
- Develop, implement, and monitor effective student IEPs
- Maintain meticulous documentation and track student progress
- Participate actively in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Provide meaningful accommodations and modifications to ensure student access to curriculum
- Foster collaborative relationships with general educators, school staff, and families
