Requirements:

  • Valid Connecticut teaching certificate in Special Education
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
  • Familiarity with a range of learning disabilities, intervention strategies, and support techniques
  • Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Passion for helping students achieve academic and developmental milestones

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small-group instruction across various grade levels (openings available in elementary, middle, and high school)
  • Develop, implement, and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with faculty, families, and support staff to ensure student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and needs
  • Participate actively in planning meetings and professional development

Candidates will be matched to caseloads and grade levels as positions are finalized. This is a contract-based role with Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) assignments.
