A dynamic high school resource classroom seeks a dedicated special education teacher to deliver push-in and pull-out services for a caseload of approximately 25 students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide push-in and pull-out instructional support to high school students in a resource setting
  • Work closely with general education teachers to support students in their courses
  • Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Track student progress toward academic and behavioral goals
  • Conduct student assessments and participate in data-driven decision-making
  • Attend and present at IEP meetings, collaborating with colleagues and families
  • Maintain detailed records in compliance with district and state standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Connecticut Special Education Endorsement (open to candidates with a Durational Shortage Area Permit - DSAP)
  • At least two years of recent experience teaching in special education settings
  • Demonstrated proficiency in IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Compensation and Benefits: Enjoy an hourly pay range of $38 to $43, commensurate with experience. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits are available, along with a 401(k) option through Principal Financial.
