Key Qualifications:

  • Current CT Special Education endorsement or eligibility for DSAP certification required
  • Experience working with middle school students (grades 5-8) strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Adaptability to tailor instruction to meet individual educational plans and goals

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s learning goals
  • Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies to address multiple learning needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student progress
  • Track and document student outcomes, maintaining accurate records as required
  • Participate in team meetings and continue professional development as needed
