Special Education Teacher - Merrimack, NH

This contract opportunity spans from August 2026 to June 2027, focusing on a full-time elementary caseload. What we’re looking for:

• Dual certification in Special Education and Elementary Education is required
• Previous experience working in early childhood or elementary settings preferred
• Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with families, team members, and support staff
• Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive classroom environment
• Knowledge of best practices and current trends in special education

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver specialized instruction to meet the diverse needs of elementary students
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate individual learning differences
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related services, and families to support student growth
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development activities
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records

This full-time position offers between 32.5 and 37.5 hours per week, providing steady daily engagement with your students and colleagues throughout the school year.
