Make an impact as an experienced Special Education teacher dedicated to helping students thrive in a supportive, collaborative environment. We’re seeking professionals to fill contract roles supporting both elementary and middle school levels. This role involves teaching and case management, working closely with students, staff, and families to ensure each learner’s success.
There are currently three open positions, with two vacancies being prioritized. One educator will have the unique opportunity to support two schools (both elementary and middle), fostering growth and continuity across grade levels. The middle school position (grades 7) follows a schedule of 7:45 AM–2:15 PM, while the elementary role (4th grade focused) runs from 8:45 AM–3:15 PM. If one contractor joins, their caseload would be 17 students; should two join, each will oversee approximately 13–14 students.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering engaging instruction tailored to meet individual student needs
- Managing IEPs, with meetings beginning after the school year starts
- Coordinating with related service providers—students already benefit from ongoing virtual speech therapy
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support for five students with specific needs
- Collaborating with faculty and families to foster a productive, inclusive classroom environment
- Serving as a case manager for assigned students, ensuring timelines and compliance are met
Desired qualifications:
- Certification in Special Education
- Proven experience with elementary and/or middle school students
- Familiarity with IEP processes and compliance standards
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt and prioritize in a dynamic school environment
