Mathematics Special Education Teacher | Mesa, Arizona

Step into an impactful teaching opportunity supporting students in a vibrant high school environment located near Mesa, AZ. This full-time, on-site position runs from August 3 through May 21, 2027, and offers the chance to make a real difference as a Co-Teacher specializing in Math within a Special Education classroom. You’ll work closely with other educators to design and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of all students.

Your expertise in both Special Education and Math instruction will be vital as you co-teach designated classes, providing differentiated support and facilitating inclusive, accessible learning experiences.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• A valid Standard Arizona Secondary Teaching License
• Current Special Education Licensure in Arizona
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Proven experience teaching Math in a Special Education setting
• Enthusiasm for collaborative teaching and the co-teaching model
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Flexibility and dedication to meeting diverse student needs

Key responsibilities include:

• Co-planning and delivering math instruction alongside a general education teacher
• Modifying curriculum to suit individual learning requirements
• Monitoring student progress and adapting strategies as needed
• Supporting a positive, inclusive classroom culture
• Maintaining detailed IEP documentation and ensuring accommodations are met
• Participating in staff meetings, IEP reviews, and professional development

This is an onsite-only role—remote teaching opportunities are not available. You’ll become part of a collaborative and supportive educational environment dedicated to student achievement.
