Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state-specific or eligible to obtain)
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
- Previous experience in special education settings strongly desired
- Confidence in adapting curriculum, developing IEPs, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Commitment to creating supportive, differentiated learning environments
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement IEPs in coordination with parents and staff
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to ensure continued growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and paraprofessionals
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture encouraging participation and confidence
- Maintain documentation and compliance with program, district, and legal standards
