Full-time Special Education Teacher positions are now available at elementary campuses, serving students in life skills, autism, or behavior-focused classrooms. Your role will be critical in nurturing progress and meeting each child's unique requirements in self-contained, small-group settings.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Active Texas Special Education EC-12 certification required.
• Recent fingerprint clearance through TEA (or willingness to complete prior to start).
• Experience supporting or teaching students in life skills, autism spectrum, or behavioral intervention settings is highly valued.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and committed to inclusion and individualized instruction.

Role Overview:

• Serve one elementary campus, either Rutherford, Mackey, or JR Thompson Elementary, supporting a caseload focused on life skills or total language self-contained classrooms.
• Develop, modify, and implement IEPs tailored to student needs.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and positive behavior supports.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related services, and families to optimize educational outcomes.
• Collect data, monitor student progress, and adjust strategies as needed.
• Foster a supportive, engaging classroom environment that prioritizes student safety and learning.

This is a contract role starting as soon as possible and extending through May 28, 2027. Full-time hours are offered, with 37.5 hours scheduled each week. Candidates serious about making a difference are encouraged to indicate their preferred site and caseload focus when applying.
