Special Education Teacher - Mesquite, TX

What we’re seeking:

• Current Texas Special Education (EC-12) certification and core/generalist certification required
• Experience supporting elementary-aged students in a resource or inclusion setting preferred
• Strong grasp of IEP development, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive, engaging classroom atmosphere
• Organizational skills to manage data collection and case documentation

Your responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans that address students’ academic and behavioral goals
• Provide direct instructional support within resource and inclusion classrooms
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to adapt lessons and materials
• Use data-driven practices to assess student progress and modify strategies as needed
• Communicate regularly with families and other stakeholders to ensure student success
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week with a set schedule that supports work-life balance.
