Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Florida ESE certification required
• K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification required
• Demonstrated experience working in a self-contained special education classroom setting
• Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students
• Previous fingerprint clearance for Florida school districts is advantageous (credential verification required)
• Preparedness to participate in a virtual pre-screen interview and internal eligibility interview

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction utilizing IEP goals as a guide for curriculum adaptation
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom climate to enhance students’ academic, behavioral, and social growth
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
• Uphold compliance with all state and district documentation and reporting requirements
• Implement engaging activities that accommodate multiple learning styles and exceptionalities
• Maintain organized records of student progress and communicate regularly with all stakeholders

This contract role runs immediately through the end of May 2027, offering a consistent weekday schedule of 35 hours weekly and the fulfillment that comes from shaping students’ educational journeys.
